Choosing an Approach: Making Design Decisions
We often hold design up as creative magic; a type of personality, or an innate skill. But design is a process we all undertake during a project, and uses skills we can all develop.
Our design skills are honed through understanding how we can use insights from research and analysis alongside our organisation’s mission to form systems, patterns, and rules. These structures give us the flexibility and constraints we need to make design decisions.
This session will look at the influences, processes, and structures that help us make and communicate design decisions ranging from broad design approaches to more precise detail.
